Biography
My passion, skills and professional experience are directed towards strengthening the identity, shared vision and partnerships of values-based organisations. I have a background in non-profit branding, information and graphic design, partnerships and organisational development, communication management and social marketing. I currently work as a freelance consultant and facilitator.
I am committed to enhancing the communication, profile and joint working of organisations and networks so that they can be more effective in what they do. Some of this work involves hosting events where different voices can help shape a common agenda. I have enjoyed working with a wide range of non-profits including the British Red Cross, Stop Climate Chaos Scotland, Simon Community Scotland, the University of Edinburgh, Healthy Respect (at NHS Lothian), Nourish Scotland, LifeMosaic and Take One Action Film Festivals.
I have strong roots in both South Africa and Scotland. I appreciate how encounters with others, coupled with film and travel give me the opportunity to gather questions and insights on local and global issues. I want to further reflection and collective responses to some of the big challenges we face.
I’m a keen photographer – especially drawn to photographing and exhibiting hand portraits. My photography, trustee roles and professional contributions are underpinned by a desire to listen deeply, host conversations that matter and help nurture empowering relationships.
Please get in touch if you’d enjoy conversation – and let’s meet by phone or over a cup of tea.
